Box Modelling - Hammer

To start this hammer I created a simple box and while still in this mode I pressed the arrow keys so that the box would be divided up into 9 sections. After this I highlighted the 9 polygons on the front face by pressing "Ctrl + h" and then "Shift" so I could select more than one polygon. After they were selected I went onto the multiply tab and clicked multishift but before using this tool I had to press "n" which brings up the numerical screen and made sure that the group polygons box was ticked. When this was done I moved all the polygons down and out slightly. With these polygons still selected I deleted them as I no longer needed them. Next I pressed the space bar to quickly move to the point selection tool and then selected all points around the edge of the now open space. To create a new polygon I pressed "p" so that there was now one large polygon instead of nine smaller ones.

For the next stage of the hammer I created the back of the hammer by selecting the top six polygons on instead of the full nine like I did on the other side.
